The story
High above the fields there lived a small cloud who had spent all day carrying rain from one hill to the next. Now the sky was turning the soft pink of bedtime, and the little cloud was tired.
"Goodnight, river," the cloud whispered, drifting low. "Goodnight, sleepy sheep. Goodnight, first quiet star." One by one the lights below went out, until only the moon was awake, holding a lantern for anyone still finding their way home.
The little cloud settled against the warm side of a hill, grew soft and grey and still, and let the gentle wind rock it slowly. And as its edges melted into the dark, the little cloud closed its eyes too, and slept until morning.
