Luna the Quiet Fox

A gentle fox walks the meadow at dusk, wishing every creature a good night.

StoryAges 4–64 min read

The story

When the sun went down behind the pines, a small fox named Luna stepped out into the meadow. She had soft grey paws that made no sound at all in the cool evening grass.

Luna did not hunt in the evening. Instead she visited her neighbours to say goodnight. "Sleep well," she told the rabbits in their burrow. "Sleep well," she told the beetles under the stone, and the ducks folded on the pond.

When everyone was tucked away, Luna curled her warm tail over her nose in her den beneath the roots, watched the moon rise silver through the branches, and let her tired eyes fall shut.
