The story
Every night the moon has a job to do. She takes her big soft blanket — dark blue and dotted with stars — and she pulls it slowly, gently, right across the sky.
She tucks it over the town, and the lights blink off. She tucks it over the sea, and the waves grow calm. She tucks it over the treetops where the little birds are sleeping.
Then the moon leans close, and tucks the blanket softly over you, right up to your chin. Warm? Cosy? Good. Goodnight.
